 Morning Glory Gifts and Herbs

Herbs and a natural unrefined diet have been a passion in my life for many years, but a specialty shop didn’t occur to me until my dear friend opened one in Ohio.

     “Doreen, you need to open a gift and herb shop in Tennessee,” she said.  “Just think what fun if we could do this together!”   I resisted at first, but when I went to my first wholesale market, helping her choose gifts for the new store, I was hooked.  With my husband Jack’s complete encouragement, as well as his volunteering to serve as the builder, banker and inventory accountant, Morning Glory Gifts and Herbs will soon complete its fifth year of business.

      We relocated in recent months, buying the building at 704 Dunnington Street, and spent several weeks renovating (thank you Jack!).  I enjoy having the shop closer to downtown Columbia as we watch our community improve and grow. 

     Customer service is tops on the list of what is necessary here at Morning Glory’s, and several events are planned for 2008 that will showcase our tea, specialty foods and lovely gift lines…..hand picked! 

 Classes:

Our herb classes too, have begun, the third Monday of each month, focusing on a different topic each class, educating others in the ways of natural health.  Nature’s Sunshine products are the line we carry, they are simply the highest quality in the market and I trust them implicitly.

      Growing roots in our Columbia community is a joy and a blessing, and I am inspired by wonderful people everyday.  As we go forward into this year, I give my promise and commitment to serve you, my friends and customers, in everyway possible throughout the coming year.
